County Report 1, California Division of Mines and Geology, 1962, p312 : The mine is located in the southeast corner of Section 2, T30S, R40E, MDM, in the Stringer District, 1½ miles south of Randsburg. In 1958 ownership of the mine was shown as William A. Stryker of Johannesburg, CA. The ore body is east-trending, steeply north-dipping stringers in schist. One high-grade shoot of scheelite was discovered and mined in 1951. The mine had formerly been worked for gold, but was worked for scheelite until 1951 when the shoot was mined out. Several shallow to moderately-deep shafts, trenches and open cuts are present. Mine has been idle since 1951.
